Every year Bacolaodiat festival is celebrated in Bacolod City to Celebrate the Chinese New Year. Filipino and Filipino-Chinese joins together to celebrate this annual celebration.
The Festival highlights also includes Lantern Street Dance Competition, Cultural Events, Chopstick Alley, Symphony of Lights, Yuan Thong Temple, Imperial Village and more.
There are also lighted floats, chinese foods, cultural dances, fireworks and giant lanterns. The name Bacolaodiat means "Bacolod" & "Lao Diat" (a Fookien word for celebration).
"Sa mga kababayan sa ibang panig ng Pilipinas o karatig bayan o probinsya punta na kayo sa Bacolod para naman ma-experience nyo naman ang Bacoloadiat Festival ng Bacolod".
